How to pay for the course: You may register online using PayPal however, a convenience fee will be added to the total cost of the course. Or you may bring a money order or cashier’s check to the school before the start of class. Make your money order or cashier's check payable to ALR Educational Health Services Inc.
Refund: A refund may be issued, only if courses are canceled by ALR EHS. If a student registers for a class and fails to attend, no refund will be issued. ALR EHS does not accept cash or personal checks. All fees are nonrefundable per course policy.

Practical Nursing Program

Program Length: 52 Weeks

In-state tuition only: $14,000.00 (Books and course fees not included)

Out-of-state tuition only: $16,000.00 (Books and course fees not included)

  • $50.00 Nonrefundable Application fee (Cashier’s Check or Money Order)
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age. 
  • Complete a State-approved Nursing Assistant training program or a State-approved Medication Aide training program. 
  • Students must submit a current copy of a valid State-issued CNA or Medication Aide license (proof of good standing on the State registry).
  • Applicants must possess a CURRENT valid driver’s license or State ID. 
  • Applicants must pass a pre-screening drug test (provided by ALR EHS) or a drug test if unable to pass the drug screening.
  • Applicants must pass level I or II Background check/screening (provided by ALR EHS).
  • Applicants must have a current Health clearance signed by a Healthcare provider (Physical)
  • Current Immunization records including Influenza, Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Pneumococcal, Hep B, Hib, Polio (IPV), Flu, Covid vaccine (Titer, Booster or Waiver), TB
  • GED/High School Diploma/or Transcripts
  • Two letters of recommendation (One professional and one personal). The professional letter of recommendation must be provided by the Administrator or the Director of Nursing from the most current employer.
  • Must be employed at a healthcare facility/organization for at least six months with a good employment history verified by the facility’s Administrator, Executive Director, or Director of Nursing. The employment history must include the following, e.g., attendance history, professionalism, and certifications, as required by State and Federal law.

  • Applicants must have a personal interview with school personnel and the Program Director. (Interviews will be scheduled by ALR staff once all the above admission requirements have been met and the admissions application has been accepted).
